Frequently asked questions
How soon will I get a quote?
Within 2 working hours we get in touch to clarify the details you’ve sent. We prepare a complete, transparent quote with all its terms once we have all the shipment data. For specific cargo (batteries, liquids, food and similar) that requires document checks, and for EXW, DAP and DDP delivery terms, we send the quote once we have all the costs in hand.
Which countries do you arrange transport to?
Ocean and air are global. Road covers all of Europe, including non-EU (UK, Switzerland, Norway) and Turkey. Rail runs from China via a partner corridor. Our regular corridors are China, India and the USA to Bulgaria.
What is the difference between a freight forwarder and a carrier?
A freight forwarder organises and coordinates the delivery: it selects the route, mode and partners, handles the documentation and coordinates the whole process. The carrier or carriers involved in a delivery only move the goods; they do not handle operations such as customs clearance, terminal and warehouse handling, or delivery to and from terminals. KG Cargo works as a freight forwarder and combines air, ocean, road and rail to assemble the best solution for each shipment.
What information do you need for a quote?
Origin and destination addresses, mode (air, ocean or road), weight and volume, cargo type and delivery terms (Incoterms). Depending on the cargo type (batteries, food, dangerous goods), additional documents and certificates may be required. The more complete the information, the more accurate the quote.
Do you offer cargo insurance?
Yes, we arrange cargo insurance under ICC clauses A, B and C based on the value and nature of the cargo. The insurance covers loss and damage above the carrier’s liability limits.
